The ductile iron flanged butterfly valves, also known as double-flanged, can be furnished with centerline disc and handle lever operator. It has larger face-to-face dimensions than that of wafer and lug types. Generally, flanged bodies are used with high-temperature or fire sensitive applications where potential thermal expansion is expected. The flanged style has two integral flanges on the body that match the standard piping flanges with internal room between the flanges for studs and nuts.

Design features: (1) Aluminum handle lever operated, made by die casting. (2) Centerline/ concentric design: the centerline of the shaft coincides with that of the disc. (3) Cast ductile iron body: ASTM A536 Grade 60-4–18 or Grade 65-45-12, DIN 1693 GGG 40 or GGG 50. (5) Double flanged end connection. (6) Disc pinned to the shaft by using two taper pins. (7) Rubber lined seat. Design standards: ISO 5272, BS 5155, EN 593, AWWA C-504, MSS SP 67, API 609. The flanged end dimensions shall be furnished in accordance with a series of international standards covering BS 4504 PN10/PN16, BS 10 Table D/Table E, AS 2129 Table D/Table E, DIN 2501 PN10/PN16, JIS B2220 5K/10K, ASME B16.1 Class 125 & ASME B16.42 Class 150, ISO 7005-2 PN10/PN16, ASME B16.5 Class 150.
