ASTM A269 TP304/TP304L Dual Certified Tubing

Dual certified TP304/TP304L tubing manufactured in accordance with ASTM A269 refers to the austenitic stainless steel that meets the chemical composition requirements of grade TP304L, especially the low-carbon content requirement, while maintains the higher mechancial properties as that of grade TP304. Although ASTM A269 does not require the tensile test on the material, it does require hardness test to be conducted. Usually, TP304L tubing is provided with actual strength or other mechanical properties way above the minimum. This is sometimes achieved by deliberately addition of traces of nitrogen to the steel.
