The technical drawing for an askew head bolt manufactured in accordance with ASME B18.2.1

Shijiazhuang Metalsin supplies askew head bolts manufactured in accordance with ASME B18.2.1. The askew head bolt, evolving from square head bolt, is primarily used in conjunction with embedded wedge insert in structural construction. It has an angle of bearing surface with respect to shank to mate with the slope of the wedge insert. Askew head bolts are only available with unified coarse (UNC) threads. They are rarely used in modern engineering but are occasionally seen in renovation jobs.

Thread Length

For L ≤ 6″, L_T equals twice the basic thread diameter plus 0.25″; For L > 6″, L_T equals twice the basic thread diameter plus 0.50″. If L ≤ L_T + S, the askew head bolt shall be threaded for full length.
