Applicability of ASTM A179 Tubes in ASME BPVC
ASTM A179 seamless tubes are designated as UNS K01200 with P-number of 1 according to ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes. They can be used in application of ASME BPVC Section VIII Division 1 and Section XII with maximum temperature limits of 482°C and 343°C, respectively.
